MEATH'S Cian O'Connor maintained his Spanish Grand Prix form tonight (Sunday), when finishing third at Vejer de La Frontera with Ahmed Tolba's chestnut mare 'Splendor' in a ten horse jump-off.
O'Connor, who has now taken two thirds and a second place in the Sunshine Tour Grands Prix during the last three weeks, was two seconds off the pace of French victor Julien Epaillard and 'Number One d'Iso', with British rider William Funnell taking the runner-up spot with 'Billy Congo'.
Thirty eight combinations took part in tonight's competition, which had total prize money of 23,000 euro and was also a qualifier for the 2011 European Show Jumping Championships.
