QUIGLEY WINS ITALIAN GRAND PRIX AT PONTEDERA

(09 May 2010)

WEXFORD-born Dave Quigley produced Ireland's second Grand Prix win of the weekend when piloting the Dutch Warmblood Andiamo gelding 'Ulot' to victory in Pontedera's two-star show in Italy tonight (Sunday).

Thirty-seven year-old Quigley saw off a challenge by Germany's Jurgen Sussmann, but was joined in the ribbons by Ireland's 23 year-old Mark McAuley and 'Irma Bella di Ca' San Giorgio', who finished fourth with the last double clear round achieved in the competition.

Earlier today, Shane Carey won the Danish Grand Prix at Fredensborg with 'Lancero'.
