TEAM Ireland Equestrian's show jumping manager Robert Splaine has named the Irish team who will compete at the non-superleague Nations' Cup in Gijon, Spain on Saturday September 3.

The team in alphabetical order is:

Edward Doyle Samgemjee (ISH)
Marion Hughes HHS Fortuna (ISH)
Dermot Lennon. Vampire or Valent.  
Capt David O Brien Annestown (ISH)

Splaine said today: “Now that our participation for the FEI top league for next year is assured our sights are firmly set on our main goal of Olympic qualification at Madrid next month.

“However Gijon and Calgary are very important shows in the overall plan to develop new partnerships for top level in 2012.”
