IRISH riders and horses swept through tonight's (Saturday) speed class at Comporta in Portugal, with Conor Swail accounting for both first and fifth places and Tholm Keane taking third.
Co. Down-born Swail's first place was accomplished on Patrick Hayse's Cruising mare 'Music Hill Cruise', beating French ace Kevin Staut by half a second, while Waterford's Tholm Keane slotted Ronan Tynan's Irish-bred 'Warrenstown You 2' into third.
Swail then confirmed Irish dominance with a fifth place on the Dutch-bred gelding 'Mojito', which he co-owns with Barry O'Connor, and took home total prize money of 6,000 euro for his evening's work.
