SWAIL THIRD IN ITALIAN GRAND PRIX

(24 Apr 2011)

MALAHIDE-based Conor Swail today (Sunday) claimed third place in the Pioltello Grand Prix in Italy with the Guidam stallion 'Lansdowne', going clear over both rounds but finishing over two seconds adrift of German winner Hans Dieter Dreher with the Argentinian-bred 'Magnus Romeo'.

Co. Down's Dermott Lennon took ninth place with a total of four faults over both rounds aboard David Prentice's gelding 'Kalvinretto'.

Lennon also had a runner-up place in today's Accumulator competition with his own Dutch-bred gelding 'Vampire', once again yielding victory to Hans-Dieter Dreher, who this time claimed the trophy on 'Constantin B'.
