THREE IRISH RIDERS IN ROLEX WORLD TOP 15

IRELAND now has three riders in the world's top 15, according to the Rolex Show Jumping rankings published today (Friday).

With over 2,000 international riders vying for vital points in weekly competitions around the globe, Ireland has a total of seven show jumpers in the World Top 100.

Recent Irish successes have led to Tipperary's Denis Lynch rising seven places to World No. 6, while Jessica Kurten remains at No. 8. Cork's Billy Twomey has had a seven place jump to appear at No. 15.

The Rolex rankings, which are published monthly by the sport's world governing body, the FEI, also show Cian O'Connor rising five places to No. 32, and Shane Breen improving by nine places to take 36th position.

Also in the Top 100 are Cameron Hanley at No. 63 and Dermott Lennon at No. 71.

The current leader is France's European show jumping champion, Kevin Staut.
