TWO GRAND PRIX WINS COMPLETE IRISH WHITEWASH AT FONTAINEBLEAU

IRELAND'S pony squad completed their whitewash at Fontainebleau, France today (Sunday) with two Grand Prix wins and two further competition victories.

In the CSIOP Grand Prix 16 year-old Emma O'Dwyer claimed the trophy with the Irish-bred 'Jacknell Street', half a second ahead of fellow Irish rider Tom Foley on 'Dibidoe', with Eoin McMahon cementing Ireland's dominance with a third place on 'Homeflight II'.

In the CSIP Grand Prix Matt Garrigan took the honours for Ireland with 'Dr. Spot', just over a second clear of French challenger Ines Joly and 'Jamaique'. Four other Irish riders also made it into the CSIP Grand Prix top ten.

Tom Foley won the Two Phase class with 'Crown Jewel' today, while Graham Golden was the Accumulator class winner on 'Tequila Twist'.

Yesterday (Saturday) the Irish pony team won the French Nations' Cup for the second year in a row at Fontainebleau after a jump-off against Switzerland, and also accounted for three other wins to add to Friday's similar tally.
