BILLY Twomey added to Ireland's tally of top five places at the World Cup show in Stuttgart, Germany tonight (Saturday) when he claimed fourth place in the big 1m50 jump-off competition.
Riding Sue Davies's bay stallion 'Je t'Aime Flamenco', the 33 year-old Cork rider was one of twelve to make the cut for the second round jump-off, and finished just one-and-half seconds off the pace of Spanish winner Sergio Alvarez Moya and the Darco gelding 'Wisconsin'.
Twomey had already racked up a fifth place at the five-star show on Thursday with 'Tinka's' Serenade', while Tipperary's Denis Lynch took a fourth place in the German Masters competition on Friday night with 'Abbervail van het Dingeshof'.
Stuttgart's signature competition, the FEI World Cup Qualifier - takes place on Sunday afternoon.
