SJ Breeding: Third Hickstead Derby win in a row for Irish bred horses

Great Britain’s Nigel Coupe and his Irish Sport Horse mount Golvers Hill (Ricardo Z x Clover Hill) made it a hat-trick of Hickstead Derby victories for Irish-bred horses in as many years. Last year’s winners were William Whitaker (GBR) and the Irish Sport Horse Glenavadra Brilliant (Brilliant Lad x Powerswood Purple), while the 2015 Derby was won by Ireland’s Trevor Breen and the Irish-bred Loughnatousa WB (x Spring Elegance).
