World Breeding Eventing Championships take place this weekend

Team Ireland Equestrian eventers head to Le Lion d’Angers (FRA) this weekend for the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses. Ireland will be represented in CCI 2* for 7 year old horses by nine combinations and in the CCI 1* for 6 year olds by two combinations. All Irish riders at Le Lion d’Angers will compete on Irish Sport Horses.

On the showjumping circuit, Ireland will be represented at Helsinki (FIN), Tryon North Carolina (USA), Harrisburg Pennsylvania (USA), Odense (DEN), St Lo (FRA), Kronenberg (NED), Calgary Stampede Park (CAN) and Oliva Valencia (ESP).

Elsewhere on the eventing circuit, Irish riders will compete at Aldon (GBR) and Lexington Kentucky (USA). In dressage, Ireland will be represented in the 3 star, Junior and Pony classes at Le Mans (FRA).

This week in excess of 170 entries have been made for 65 Irish riders in international competition. Ireland will be represented in eight different countries this weekend, with the total number of entries made for Irish riders competing in FEI events surpassing the 6,100 mark, to date in 2016. All Irish international entries for this week’s shows are now available to view by clicking on the individual shows under ‘FEI Entries & Results’.
