Young Event Horse series 2018

Horse Sport Ireland is delighted to continue to support the Young Event horse series in 2018. Over the years this initiative has developed many successful three and four star event horses, we look forward to more top horses commencing their careers through the HSI Young Event Horse series this year. The first qualifier took place in Scarteen on Wednesday 6^th June. An impressive 96 animals turned out for the RDS qualifying classes consisting of 43 5year olds and 53 4year olds.

Harold McGahern chief steward said ‘while a lot of 4 year olds found it challenging due to the long winter conditions the higher quality horses really set the standards for the next 3 qualifiers and overall we are very impressed with the five year olds this year.’

The next qualifier will be in Forth Mountain on Tuesday 12^th June.
