All eyes on Normandy for World Equestrian Games

Who’s Competing: All eyes will be on Normandy this week, where the World Equestrian Games are taking place. Ireland are represented in four disciplines at the French venue – showjumping, eventing, dressage, para-dressage and endurance. Both dressage and para-dressage competitions run from 24th to 29th August, while endurance action kicks off on 27th and runs for two days. Ireland’s eventers begin their Games on 27th and medals will be decided on Sunday 31st August. Showjumping competition begins on that same Sunday and will run until 7th September. The team final will take place on the Thursday, with the individual finals bing decoded on the Sunday of the Games. Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Irish riders will compete in Bridgehampton New York (USA), Rockwood Ontario (CAN), Lamprechtshausen (AUT) and Opglabbeek (BEL)..
