All you need to know about tonight’s Show Jumping team final at the FEI World Equestrian Games

  • It is taking place at Tryon, North Carolina in the USA
  • The competition gets underway at 6.30pm Irish time and will finish around 9.30pm
  • It will be shown live on BBC Red Button from 6.20pm.& on FEITV.  Live coverage on Eurosport from 8pm
  • 23 individual riders will jump first before the team competition gets underway around 7.30pm Irish time
  • Only the top 10 teams from the 25 who started the week have qualified
  • All 10 teams carry forward their scores from the first two rounds
  • SUI lead on 11.64, USA are second on 12.59, GER are third on 18.09, SWE fourth on 20.59, NED fifth on 24.35, IRL sixth on 27.12, FRA seventh on 27.76, AUS eighth on 28.32, GBR ninth on 31.04, CAN tenth on 32.89
  • Four penalties added for each fence knocked
  • Best three scores from each team are counted
  • Ireland will be the fifth team into the arena
  • Ireland jump in the following order: Shane Sweetnam, Shane Breen, Paul O’Shea, Cian O’Connor
  • Along with new World Championship team medals decided tonight – The top six teams after tonight’s final will qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo
  • The top 25 individuals after tonight’s competition will go forward to Sunday’s individual final
