All you need to know about Youth Dressage – Dressage CPD Evening with Anne Marie Dunphy

Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) Level 3 Dressage Coach and HSI Youth Dressage High Performance Director, Anne Marie Dunphy will deliver a practical dressage coaching CPD evening, titled ‘Developing Confidence, Consistency and Character from Grassroots to Championships’ on Friday 30th of September from 6pm until 9pm in Spruce Lodge Training Facility, Redcross, Co Wicklow.

The event is suitable for coaches of all levels and to anyone with an interest in Youth Dressage, especially parents, coaches and anyone looking to find out more about the requirements at each level. Anne Marie will cover a range of topics and share her experience both as a Grand Prix dressage rider and as a coach.

This event is set to be highly informative and will include various practical demonstrations, including FEI Pony, Junior and Young Rider riders working at the required standard. This is a unique opportunity to see the level required for each of these age categories. This event is highly recommended for aspiring dressage riders and their coaches and wider support team.

Topics covered on the night will include:

  • Starting youth athletes on a pathway – from grass roots
  • Specific considerations for coaching the youth
  • Development of the youth athlete’s skills – basic training to progressing up the levels.
  • Training and competition planning

Places are limited so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. €35 per person, places are on a first come first served basis. 2 CPD points to all HSI Accredited Coaches.
