Ballyfoyle welcome HSI sponsorship for their 25th anniversary show.

Horse Sport Ireland were delighted to be sponsoring the Open Broodmare class at Ballyfoyle Agricultural Show which took place on Sunday 30^th June. There were 12 mares entered for this class with a large spectatorship.

Winner, Mary Rothwell said ‘We were delighted take first and third place in Ballyfoyle show. This was a very enjoyable, well supported show with an extremely helpful show committee. The organisers did a fantastic job and we will definitely be returning in the future. This show should continue to grow from strength to strength for the coming years’

Ann McGrath, Show Secretary said “The HSI sponsored broodmare class was a hotly contested competition. We had quality animals on show from Kilkenny to Wexford, Wicklow and surrounding counties. Our aim has always been to promote local breeders and riders. With that in mind, we incorporated a prize for the highest placed Kilkenny broodmare which added great interest. Ballyfoyle Agricultural Show committee greatly appreciates the support from HSI on our first year to expand as an agricultural show and without whom this would not be possible. We are celebrating our 25th year as a charity show and have received great feedback since yesterday. It was amazing to see so many well known RDS veterans as well as this years golden ticket holders here.”
