Bertram Allen lands big win at Hong Kong Masters

Wexford’s Bertram Allen claimed the Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy class today at the 5 star show in Hong Kong. Allen rode the 12 year old chestnut gelding, Quiet Easy 4 owned by Quantain Stud to beat Finland’s Julia-Anna Kontio into second place securing over 31,000 dollars in prize money.
The competition had a maximum fence height of 1metre 50 centimetres and counts for Longines World Ranking Points. 20 year old Showjumping sensation Allen is currently ranked 9th in the World.
Sunday will see the Longines Grand Pix take place at 07.00 GMT, Ireland is also represented at the Hong Kong five star show by Denis Lynch and Billy Twomey who earlier today announced the retirement of his star performer Tinka’s Serenade the 19 year old chestnut mare.
