Cian O’Connor scores Ireland’s second win at five-star French fixture in Valence

Less than 24 hours after Denis Lynch collected a win at the French five-star show in Valence, Cian O’Connor has today (Saturday) added another Irish victory at the same venue.
The 1m50 speed competition saw O’Connor and the 10-year-old gelding Veneno post what proved an unbeatable clear round in 59.58 seconds to take the winners prize of €10.000.
The pair finished three seconds quicker than Italian runner-up Alberto Zorzi with Ulane de Coquerie, while French rider Kevin Staut finished third with Gravity of Greenhill.
