Meath-based Cian O’Connor and the 10-year-old mare Be Gentle scored their second win of the week at the five-star fixture at Aachen in Germany today (Friday), with a superb victory in the Prize of Sparkasse, Hunting competition over ditches and banks.

The Irish national anthem was rang out for the second time in 48 hours when O’Connor and the mare who is owned by his American pupil Lillie Keenan, posted a super fast time of 72.42 seconds which couldn’t be matched by those who followed.
Olympic Bronze Meddalist O’Connor had scored a win in the opening class of the show on Wednesday, again with Be Gentle (pictured below).
