Records were broken at The Goresbridge Go For Gold sale (November 12th) where a three-year-old son of Ramiro B headed the returns at €53,500. Recording Ireland’s highest ever auction figure for his age group, the gelding was consigned by Co Meath’s Patrick Moore, and finally secured by Co Wicklow event horse producer Richard Sheane. He was bred by Diarmaid Considine, County Meath, out of Willows Music (Rhoman Rule). The gelding’s sale was the highlight of another highly successful dispersal which saw a significantly increased clearance of 75%, together with an average price of €14,000.
“Delighted to report such a strong clearance, together with a record breaking price.” Commented Martin Donohoe of Goresbridge.”It was also good to see so many customers return to support us again, and among them were buyers from mainland Europe, UK and America.”
