European Championships kick off tomorrow morning

Team Ireland Equestrian’s showjumpers open their European Championship week tomorrow, with the first qualifying competition kicking off at 07.45 GMT on Wednesday morning. The team competition begins on Thursday and will be decided on Friday, while the Individual European Champion will be crowned on Sunday afternoon. Also competing at the European Championships at Goteborg (SWE) is Ireland’s para dressage ride, Kate Kerr Horan, who will compete in the Freestyle Test tomorrow (Wednesday).
Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Ireland will be represented at Bridgehampton New York (USA), Rockwood Ontario (CAN), Verbier (SUI), Zandhoven (BEL), Valence (FRA), Langley British Columbia (CAN), Oswestry (GBR), Ciekocinko (POL), Roosendaal (NED), Lastrup (GER), Wiener Neustadt (AUT) and Auvers (FRA).
In eventing, Irish riders will compete at Blair Castle (GBR) and also at Ireland’s home international at Millstreet (IRL).
