Fitness Expert Joe O’Connor to Cover Rider Fitness and Competition in Upcoming Webinar

Don’t miss this exciting and informative webinar with fitness and performance expert Joe O’Connor. The webinar will cover rider fitness and the demands placed on riders before, during and after competition.
Joe has over 23 years of industry experience, including 15 years as a lecturer in exercise physiology and performance nutrition.
Joe began working with event riders when Sally Corscadden brought him in to assist with the physical preparation of riders on the Irish Young Rider Eventing squad in 2014. Since then he has continued to work with development squads and high performance squads in preparation for international competition. Joe was part of the support team who helped prepare the Irish Senior Eventing Team for their silver medal-winning performance at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
From 2016 to 2019 Joe was Head of Fitness and Nutrition for the Limerick hurling team and prior to this he worked with Clare, Waterford and Kerry GAA while on their way to winning Munster Championships and All Ireland.
Joe helped several athletes prepare for the 2016 Rio Olympics, and he is currently assisting a variety of elite athletes in preparing for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He was also the Referee and Performance Expert on RTE’s health and fitness television programme ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’ the for the first 5 seasons.
The webinar will take place on Wednesday 24th February at 6pm via Zoom. It is suitable for coaches of all levels and booking are open to all.
