Five-star French win for Billy Twomey

Cork’s Billy Twomey was in excellent form at the five-star French show in Dinard on Friday, coming out on top in the feature 1m55 Prix Suez to take the winners prize of €15,000.
Twomey was riding the Sue Davis-owned stallion Chat Botte E.D in the one round speed contest and crossed the line clear in 77.51 ahead of Swedish runner-up Douglas Lindelow with Cheldon (78.95).
Meanwhile at London’s Global Champions Tour fixture in Britain, Offaly’s Darragh Kenny and Balou du Reventon finished third in Friday’s 1m55 speed class. Wexford’s Bertram Allen is also in action in London this weekend and finished fifth in the 1m45 two phase with Lafayette van Overis.
The London leg of the Global Champions League and Global Champions Tour Grand Prix takes place this afternoon.
