Fresh Direct Kalico Bay (ISH) – FEI Nations Cup Top League Series

The third leg of the FEI Nations Cup Top League Series took place in St. Gallen (SUI) on Friday 1st June 2012 with The Netherland’s emerged victorious on 7 faults. Great Britain tied for second place with the home team, Switzerland, on 8 faults. 2011 also saw The Netherlands in first place at the same venue with Great Britain and Switzerland joint second. Of the eight teams competing only three horse and rider combinations produced double clear rounds. Tim Stockdale (GBR) and the Irish Sport Horse gelding Fresh Direct Kalico Bay jumped fault free rounds to help Great Britain claim €36,000 for their joint second place. The pair maintained the momentum for Sunday’s CSIO5* Grand Prix jumping double clear and placing second to Germany’s Marcus Ehning and the KWPN Stallion Plot Blue, who is a 5* Approved Stallion in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook.
