Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Pony Eventing team manager Jane Kinsella said:

“I am thrilled to announce the squad for the upcoming Pony European Championships in Strzegom, Poland. We have some really exciting combinations in the squad this year, including the 2021 individual silver medallist Ben Connors on Cornafest Fred. The athletes selected have shown great consistency at the viewing trials and I am really excited to see how they rise to the challenge of Strzegom. I am hoping to continue the incredible success of pony squads at European Championship level and will be aiming to bring back medals.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents and the support teams for their engagement with the High Performance Pony Eventing Programme. I would also like to thank our sponsors Gain Equine Nutrition, Horseware, TRM Nutrition, Uvex, Dubarry of Ireland and Berney Bros Saddlery.”
