FOURTEEN year-old Kilkenny rider Susan Fitzpatrick has been invited to take part in the pony/horse relay section of the Geneva Rolex World Cup Show next month.
Susan, who was the individual European Pony Show Jumping Gold Medallist at Arezzo in Italy earlier this year with Barbara O’Reilly Hyland’s Rock Dee Jay, and who was also on the Bronze Medal-winning Irish team, will be the only Irish pony participant amongst the 13 pairs competing at the Swiss show.
Susan was invited to take part in Geneva as current European champion.
This weekend she will be competing with other Irish riders in the international pony show at Neeroeteren in Belgium with Petrus Spartacus and Rock Dee Jay and will also be riding in the Junior classes with Isacorada. The following weekend she is due to ride at Enschede in the Netherlands, where she will add Ghost Rider as part of her preparations for Geneva.
