  • 5 October 2016, 21:23

Goresbridge Go For Gold Sale takes place on November 14th, 15th & 16th. The sale of pre-selected event horses has been a major success story in recent years. Now heading into its seventh renewal, the sale has truly achieved its aim of bringing together Ireland’s best young event horses to one venue for one sale.

Staged in at Barnadown Equestrian and the Amber Springs Hotel in Co Wexford, this year’s sale offers 70 proven and potential event horses from the age of three upwards, all of whom have been selected by a highly experienced panel of producers and international riders.

The 2015 returns produced a best ever clearance rate (85%), together with a top price of €85,000. A further forty two lots realised in excess of €10,000, leading to an average of €22,500 (€18,700 for the three-year-olds).

Although it is still in its relative infancy, graduates are making progress through the grades, with several already achieving international honours.
