Sligo’s Richard Howley lands a win in the CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera

A dominant performance from Sligo’s Richard Howley lands him a remarkable win in the CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain on Friday afternoon.

This result comes at no surprise following a series of good results from Howley including winning two classes at the same venue last weekend.

Howley was on board 14 year old gelding Mansini LTD owned by HK Horses. Mansini LTD was the horse that helped Howley nail first place in last weeks competitions.

Michael Pender on board HHS Fast Forward (ISH), bred and owned by Marion Hughes jumped a clear round just over 30 seconds short of first place. France’s Edward Levy finished third place filling the podium.

Niamh McEvoy landed fifth place on Aconzina PS followed by Billy Twomey in sixth place on Chat Botte E.D who both had clear rounds.

BREEDING

HHS Fast Forward (ISH) – 2012 gelding by Heritage Fortunus (HANN) out of China Cavalier (ISH) by Cavalier Royale (HOLST). Breeder and Owner: Marion Hughes, Co. Kilkenny. Rider: Michael Pender (IRL).
