High Performance Dressage Pony And Junior Assessment Days

Please be advised that High Performance Manager Anne Marie Dunphy will hold Pony and Junior Dressage High Performance assessment and training days at Spruce Lodge Equestrian Training Facility on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd November 2016.
Pony Dressage High Performance Program is as follows:
Qualifying criteria for attending the Horse Sport Ireland HP Pony Dressage assessment days is based on the current level that an athlete is training and competing in the current year. For 2017, HP Pony Dressage will comprise of a High Performance Squad and a High Performance Development Squad.
High Performance Squad – Athletes who have achieved 65% plus nationally on at least two occasions in FEI Pony tests and are either competing at or aiming shortly for pony international level.
High Performance Development Squad – Athletes who have achieved 67% plus at novice/elementary level and are working towards FEI pony level with a view to progressing to international level.
Junior Dressage High Performance Program selection criteria is as follows:
Qualifying criteria for attending the Horse Sport Ireland HP Junior Dressage assessment days is based on the current level that an athlete is training and competing in the current year. For 2017, HP Junior Dressage will comprise of a High Performance Squad – Athletes who have achieved 63% plus nationally at advanced medium/junior level and are either competing at or aiming shortly for junior international level.
All squad athletes will receive subsidized coaching and mentoring from the High Performance manager and sports science professionals and will be monitored throughout the season. Athletes must be aware that they will be moved up, down or off the squad lists based on their results in 2017 and at the discretion of the High Performance Manager. To remain on the squad athletes must show commitment to the HP program.
Athletes must be members of and ponies/horses registered with Dressage Ireland.
Parents/guardians are requested to bring a current measuring cert for their ponies and there will be a €30 training fee per pony as well as a €30 stabling /facilities fee per pony attending those days.
Anyone fitting the selection criteria and wanting to take part in the assessment/training days please fill out the expression-of-interest-form and send it back to Susann Killilea in Horse Sport Ireland via email: email@example.com by Monday, 24th of October 2016.
*** Athletes who have previously participated on the HP program but do not yet met the criteria outlined above due to change of pony/horse, may apply directly for permission to attend for assessment. Full details of pony/horse’s current level of training/competition record must be submitted with application.
