Horse Sport Ireland All Ireland Showing Series at Bannow & Rathangan

The 2014 Horse Sport Ireland All Ireland Showing Championship Series in association with the Irish Shows Association, kicked off at Bannow & Rathangan Show in Killag, Co. Wexford, today with the Three Year Old Horse All Ireland Championship, in association with Galway Irish Crystal and Belleek China.
First place went to Gerard Mullins’s gelding Electric Flash (ISH), by Cougar (ISH). In second place was Desmond Gibson’s Glountane Premier D (ISH), by Hold Up Premier (SF), with third going to James Lynch and his Golden Lariat (TB) sired Barnacurra Maximus Meridius (ISH).
The Three Year Old Championship was the first of eleven All Ireland Championships which make up the Horse Sport Ireland Showing Series.

1st Electric Flash (ISH) – 2011 gelding by Cougar (ISH) out of Tullibards Figaros Girl (OLD), by Painters Row (TB). Bred by Cyril Conway, Co. Clare and owned by Gerard Mullins
2nd Glountane Premier D (ISH) – 2011 gelding by Hold Up Premier (SF) out of Arko-D (AES), by Arko III (OLD). Bred by Timothy Brosnan, Co. Wexford. Owner: Desmond Gibson.
3rd Barnacurra Maximus Meridius (ISH) – 2011 gelding by Golden Lariat (USA) out of Morley Street (ISH), by Big Sink Hope (TB). Bred by Luke Morely, Co. Mayo. Owner: James Lynch.
