Horse Sport Ireland announce GAIN Horse Feeds Young Rider Eventing European Squad

Horse Sport Ireland has confirmed the GAIN Horse feeds Young Rider Eventing Squad for the 2016 European Championships in Montelibretti, Italy 22^nd – 25^th September 2016

The GAIN Horse feeds Young Rider Eventing Squad in alphabetical order is:

• Susie Berry and Carsonstown Athena/Vanir Hello Duca
• Nessa Briody and Tom Boy
• Daniel Brown and Euro Jackpot
• Elizabeth Hayden and Loughnatousa Joey
• Kelley Hutchinson and Ballyduff A-Z
• Kerri Lyons and Olympic Cool

High Performance Young Rider Eventing Team Manager Sally Corscadden said:

“I am pleased to announce the Squad for this year’s Young Rider European Championships, to be held in Montelibretti, Rome, Italy in September.

We are once again, in a very fortunate position to bring riders with Medal Winning Championship experience. Joining Susie Berry and Kelley Hutchinson from last year’s Bronze Medal winning Squad are Elizabeth Hayden  (Young Rider Team Gold 2014), and Nessa Briody moving up from Juniors, (Junior Team Gold 2014). Also, Daniel Brown and Kerri Lyons, bring very good consistent performances at 2* level this year including Tattersalls U24 CCI2*. Our training programme is in full swing, and includes not only dressage, show jumping and cross country sessions, but Fitness and Nutrition and Sports Psychology, for the Riders. All combinations ran at Millstreet CIC2*, supported by the Squad Coaches Heike Holstein and Mark Kyle, before  final training and a Veterinary Assessment with Team Vet Will Lalor, in preparation for the journey to Rome. Our aim is to ensure that Ireland compete with the best possible Team and that the Team has undergone the best possible preparations!” she said.
