Horse Sport Ireland announces Gain Horse Feeds European Pony Show Jumping squad

HORSE Sport Ireland has confirmed the GAIN Horse Feeds Pony Show Jumping squad for the 2015 European Championships in Malmo, Sweden from the 5th – 9th August.

The Pony Show Jumping squad in alphabetical order is:

·      Luke Garrigan – Dr Spot

·      Mikey Pender – Imagine If One (ISH)/Zirina

·      Olivia Roulston – Ballygawleys Little Ferro (ISH)

·      Kayleigh Soden – Castle Hill King

·      Abbie Sweetnam – Dynamite Spartacus/Spartacus Reape

The team of four to compete in the Nations’ Cup will be selected by the Team Manager from these five combinations.

The non travelling reserve is:

·      Hannah O’Shea – More Clover (ISH)

High Performance Pony Show Jumping Team Manager Tom Slattery said: “After our final trial in Abbotstown on the 5th and 6th of July, I am very happy with the team that’s selected to travel to Malmö. These riders have been very consistent throughout our trials and our trip to Hagen.

“I’m really looking forward to the Europeans and feel we have a very good chance of bringing home some medals. I want to thank all the children who took part in our selection program and also to their parents. We, the pony committee are very aware of all the hard work and commitment that’s involved at this level.”
