HSI Combined Training Results 2019

For the second year in-a-row, Horse Sport Ireland are to sponsor the Horse Sport Ireland Combined Training Challenge, which was a new initiative started in 2018 by Dressage Ireland. The HSI Combined Training Challenge is for members and non-members of Dressage Ireland and is open to those who are members of Eventing Ireland, Showjumping Ireland, Irish Pony Club, Irish Pony Society and Riding Clubs. It aims to encourage members of all affiliates to compete and to encourage the use of correct training on the flat and jumping.

Speaking about Horse Sport Ireland’s sponsorship, HSI CEO Ronan Murphy said;

“The Combined Training Challenge proved to be very successful in 2018. The standard of competition at the final was exceptional and it was very encouraging to see members from a wide range of our affiliates participating. The HSI Combined Training Challenge is a wonderful opportunity for riders to improve their dressage and jumping skills and to build up their competition experience. We are delighted to continue to support this important initiative and I am very much looking forward to this year’s league and the final in Barnadown. “

Gillian Kyle, Chairperson of Dressage Ireland added:

“We are very excited for the second year of the Horse Sport Ireland sponsored Combined Training Challenge. Last year’s league was of huge benefit to a wide range of equestrian riders in Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing, giving riders the opportunity to train and compete in two disciplines simultaneously. We look forward to attracting more participants from across the HSI affiliates this year and to a very competitive final in October. On behalf of Dressage Ireland, I would like to thank Horse Sport Ireland for their generous sponsorship again this year.
