HSI continues sponsorship of showing section at Riding Clubs Festival

The Association of Irish Riding Clubs is delighted to announce that Horse Sport Ireland is continuing as title sponsor of the showing section at next month’s Riding Clubs Festival.

The two-day show is one of Irelands biggest amateur equestrian events with over 70 classes in dressage, show jumping and showing.

Over 30 of these take place in four showing rings at Stradbally Hall Estate in Stradbally, Co. Laois.

There are also a number of prestigious championship titles on offer with the Carl Geisler Memorial Championship presented on Saturday for the supreme champion show horse.

On Sunday, the Eddie Fowler Memorial Championship will be presented to the best of the breeds while the Frank Mangan Memorial Championship will go to the best of the novice show horses.

Pedigree information and the breeder of over 700 horses will be available in the show catalogue again this year.

A.I.R.C. chairman Tony Ennis said, “we are delighted to have the support of Horse Sport Ireland again this year for our flagship event.  Over the past number of years, It has helped us to showcase the breeder of suitable riding horses for the leisure industry.”

Horse Sport Ireland’s Chief Executive, Damian McDonald, said; “We are delighted to again sponsor the showing classes at this year’s Riding Clubs Festival.  The Festival is an excellent opportunity to showcase quality Irish Sport Horses and Irish Draught Horses at one of Ireland’s biggest equestrian sporting events, while supporting Irish breeders.”
