HSI EQUESTRIAN SHOWCASE PARADE 2014 PHOTO GALLERY & TV COVERAGE

THE THIRD annual HSI Equestrian Showcase Parade was graced once again with glorious sunshine during the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Punchestown Festival on Tuesday 29^th April.

Led by the Army Equitation School, 23 HSI Affiliates, Sections and Native Irish Breeds, entered the parade ring before the first race and circled to a running commentary on their individual sports and breeds. Everyone shone in full showing and competitive attire, showcasing the diversity of the Irish Equestrian Sector in front of a large, appreciative crowd.

This colourful highlight of the equestrian calendar was covered by Irish Horse TV and RTE, who featured an interview, conducted by Tracy Piggott, with European Junior Eventing Championships Team Gold and Individual Silver medallist, Elizabeth Hayden.

After the parade, HSI Chairman Prof. Pat Wall presented Wexford breeder Bryan Maguire with a trophy to mark the outstanding success of Irish Sport Horse Bay My Hero (ISH) at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event last month. Owned by Catherine Witt, the Cult Hero gelding is ridden by William Fox-Pitt.
