HSI Foal Championship Qualifier Results from Roscommon Agricultural Show

The Foal Championship aims to identify, evaluate and reward breeders who have bred a foal with the potential to be competitive at the highest level of showjumping or eventing disciplines.

The second HSI foal qualifier took place on Saturday 17^th August at the Roscommon Agricultural Show. This qualifier was judged by Janet Murray and Meryl Connaughton (eventing foals), Gabriel Tunney and Philip Scott (showjumping foals).

Horse Showjumping Foals

The horse foal showjumping section was won by Andrew Gardiner’s colt foal by Narcos II (SF) out of Doonaveeragh Amanda (ISH), by S Creevagh Ferro Ex Siebe (KWPN).

The reserve was Anna Bobel’s colt by Zirocco Blue VDL (SF) out of Brillante (KWPN), by Casco (HOLST).

Horse Eventing Foals

The horse foal eventing section was won by Gerard Sweeney with a filly foal by Centennial (TB) out of Supreme Focus (ID), by Collie Mor Hill (ID).

The reserve was Michael Donner’s colt by Loughehoe Guy (ISH) out of Vanity Fair (ISH), by Dunkerrin Grey Mist (IDC1)

Pony Showjumping Foals

The pony foal showjumping section was won by Jackie Hockley’s filly foal by Carnakilly Mac Guire (CP) out of Lady Dexter (CP), by Dexter Leam Pondi (CP).

The pony eventing section was won by Michael Cummins with a colt by Gallant Cavalier (ISH) out of Glenamaddy Dream (ISH), by Comp Daredevil Joe (ISH).
