HSI Foal Championship Qualifiers at Tubberbride Equestrian Centre 3rd October 2022.

The rescheduled date for Tubberbride EC’s Foal Championship qualifier, the final qualifier, took place
on Monday 3rd October. This initiative is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

As with all qualifiers, the first class of the day was Pony Eventing. The winner of this class was Marian
Judge’s Wycroft Rainbow Dancer (BRP) colt foal, by Waterglades Gemini (WP) damsire Village Lad
(UNK).

Tommy Gibbon’s colt was the winner in this class. The foal was by Garyduff Jar of Hearts (ISH), out of Springbrook Sparkle (ISP) damsire Sparnbrook Blue Gem (PTBA).

The Horse Eventing section took place after this with Derek Jenning’s colt foal by Sligo Candy Boy (ISH), out of Ballyfree Kan Darc (ISH) damsire Kannan (KWPN) being named the winner.

The winner of the Horse Show Jumping section was John Clarke’s colt by Cascari (HOLST), out of Clarkes Quiet Optimistic (ISH) damsire Lux Z (HANN).

The final winner of the day was in the Traditional section. Raymond O’Connor won this section with his colt foal by Watermill Swatch (TB), out of Oilean Svalla (ID) damsire Moylough Bouncer (ID).

Tubberbride EC was the final qualifier for the Foal Championship 2022. All qualified competitors are reminded that a passport is required to be presented for their foal at the Cavan final, 19th October. Start list and details for the final will be published shortly.
