HSI general rules

It is important for all athletes to be aware of the Horse Sport Ireland general rules. See links (in the Useful documents section on right) to the HSI general rules and code of conduct.

Sport Disputes Solutions Ireland rules

Sport Disputes Solutions Ireland (SDSI), formerly known as Just Sport Ireland (JSI), as per HSI general rules, will have final and binding arbitration in accordance with their arbitration and mediation rules. HSI affiliates, athletes etc. should make themselves aware of SDSI rules including arbitration and mediation rules.

Anti-doping

Human anti-doping

In conjunction with Sport Ireland and their policy to cooperate with the international anti-doping campaign administered by the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA), Horse Sport Ireland engages in the anti-doping programme for humans.

Equine anti-doping

As the national governing gody for equestrian sports in Ireland, Horse Sport Ireland make available a national equine anti-doping programme to our affiliated bodies. Our anti-doping programs seek to preserve what is intrinsically valuable about sport. The programme is governed under our Equine Anti-Doping and Equine Controlled Medication Rules (EAD/ECM), which are similar to that of the FEI’s rules.

Athlete health & safety

Horse Sport Ireland is dedicated to providing information on key health and safety matters for human athletes in equestrian sport. Horse Sport Ireland hopes to raise awareness and bring clarity on issues which concern everyone involved in equestrian sport at any competition level.
