HSI Sport Horse and Sport Pony Foal Championship Final 2018

The 2018 Sport Horse and Sport Pony Foal Championship takes place at 6pm this Friday 19th October at Cavan Equestrian Centre.
Following the five regional qualifiers that took place from July to September the winners from each section will present to be crowned Champion Show Jumping Foal filly and colt for horses and ponies as well as a Champion Eventing Foal filly and colt. There will also be a special prize for the overall best traditionally-bred foal in the horse section.
The Championship for horses has a prize fund of almost €30,000 and this year the inaugural sections for ponies has a prize fund of €10,000. The aim of the championship is to identify, evaluate and reward breeders who have bred a foal that has the potential to be competitive at the highest level in the disciplines of showjumping or eventing.
