Impressive fifth place finish for Judy Reynolds and Vancouver K in Aachen Grand Prix

Kildare’s Judy Reynolds and the Joe and Kathleen Reynolds-owned gelding Vancouver K scored a hugely impressive fifth place finish in today’s (Thursday) Dressage Grand Prix CDIO at Aachen in Germany. Reynolds finished with an excellent score of 75.257% in a competition that attracted a massive 33 starters.
“I’m delighted with the test, really happy there were no mistakes,” Reynolds commented. “JP [Vancouver K] got a bit hot at the start of the test when the crowd applauded but settled really well after that. It is always a strong field here in Aachen so i’m very happy with the result.”
German superstar Isabel Werth and Weihegold OLD came out on top in front of their home fans with a score of 83.171%, also helping Germany to win the team competition. Laura Graves (USA) and Verdades took runner-up spot scoring 79.514%. Sönke Rothenberger (GER) and Cosmo finished third (78.757%) while Denmark’s Cathrine Dufour and Atterupgaards Cassidy finished fourth (77.414%).
Judy Reynolds and Vancouver K will be in action again on Saturday in Aachen’s Grand Prix Special.
