Impressive results for Irish trio at Chatsworth International Horse Trials

Irish Eventing riders produced some excellent performances at this weekend’s Dodson & Horrell Chatsworth International Horse Trials in the UK, with Irish Sport Horses once again taking many of the top prizes.

Meath’s Sarah Ennis Eventing and The Irish Sport Horse Woodcourt Garrison took third place on the podium in the CCI-S4* Section B with a final score of 44.2. The winning performance also came from an Irish Sport Horse, with Brookpark Vikenti, ridden by Japan’s Tomoto, Kazuma (JPN) finishing on a score of 33.3.

The Event Rider Masters at Chatsworth saw two Irish riders finish in the top eight. Galway’s Cathal Daniels and Rioghan Rua (ISH) climbed from 28th after Dressage, to finish sixth overall on a score of 47.0 after excellent Cross Country and Show Jumping rounds. Ireland’s Susie Berry and Stonedge finished eighth on 49.2, while Sam Watson and Tullabeg Flamenco finished in 18th place on 66.6. Victory went to Britain’s Laura Collett and London 52 on a score of 34.5.
