Ireland host home international eventing this weekend

Millstreet (IRL) will host international eventing this weekend at 3 Star, 2 Star, 1 Star, Junior and Young Horses levels. As well as the Team Ireland Equestrian riders competing, riders have travelled from Australia, Finland, Great Britain, Hong Kong New Zealand and the USA to the County Cork venue. Elsewhere on the eventing circuit action takes place at Blair Castle (GBR) and Richland Michigan (USA).
In showjumping, Ireland will field a team in the Nations Cup at 5 star Gijon (ESP) ,which takes place on Saturday at 12.45 GMT. Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Ireland will be represented at St Moritz (SUI), Bridgehampton New York (USA), Valence (FRA), Muenster (GER), Zandhoven (BEL), Williamsburg Michigan (USA), Rockwood Ontario (CAN), Ciekocinko (POL), Stafford Scope Festival (GBR), Lastrup (GER), Auvers (FRA) and Wiener Neustadt (AUT).
This week, 289 entries have been made for Irish riders competing in FEI competitions. Those entries have been made at international shows and events in eleven countries for 156 individual riders, bringing international entries to date in 2016 to over 5,200 entries.
