IRELAND THROUGH TO SUNDAY’S EUROPEAN POLO CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

LATEST: Final Score – Ireland 3, England 6. IRELAND’S team has continued its great run of form at the European Polo Championships in Chantilly, with victory over Italy today taking them through to the finals on Sunday.
Ireland won seven goals to six in France this afternoon, with two goals being scored by Polo Wicklow’s Siobhan Herbst, who was drafted in yesterday as a replacement for the injured Stephen Hutchinson.
Ireland will play either England or France on Sunday, depending on the outcome of today’s other semi-final.
The Irish polo team today was Sebastian Dawnay (Captain), Richard Fagan, Max Hutchinson and Siobhan Herbst.
