Ireland’s Anna Merveldt and Esporim take third place in Hungarian World Cup

Irish Dressage rider Anna Merveldt and the 11-year-old stallion Esporim have recorded an excellent third place finish in today’s (Saturday) CDI3*-W FEI World Cup Grand Prix at Budapest-Fot in Hungary.
Drawn seventh to go off eleven competitors, Merveldt and Esporim produced a score of 69.674%. French rider Morgan Barbancon and Sir Donnerhall II OLD took victory with a score of 72.457%, while Austria’s Christian Schumach and Donna Karacho finished second on 70.935%.
This latest result for Anna Merveldt and Esporim comes on the back of four top six finishes for the pair in recent months at international Grand Prix level. Merveldt will be in action in Budapest again on Sunday in the Freestyle World Cup Grand Prix.
