A brilliant performance from Tipperary’s Denis Lynch and GC Chopin’s Bushi has seen them take third place in today’s Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix at Madrid in Spain – a result which moves Lynch to the top of the World Cup league table.
Only six combinations made it into the jump-off with Lynch jumping clear again in the second round in a time of 42.87 seconds to collect almost €25,000 for his third place finish. Victory went to French rider Julien Epaillard and Billabong du Roumois (41.24) with David Will (GER) second aboard C Vier (42.71).
Lynch also finished third in the Verona (ITA) World Cup Grand Prix a fortnight ago and before that was among the points at Lyon in France. Lynch now tops the Western European Longines FEI World Cup league table on 37 points with Kevin Jochems (NED) second on 30 points.
The Longines FEI World Cup series remains in Spain for the next leg at La Coruna on December 12th.
