Ireland’s eventers begin European Championship campaign

Team Ireland Equestrian will be represented at Strzegom (POL), where the 2017 European Eventing Championships take place this week. The Championships will tomorrow (Thursday), with the dressage phase. The cross-country phase starts on Saturday morning and the showjumping phase on Sunday, when the Team and Individual medals will be decided. Also in European Championship action this weekend is Tom MacGuinness, who will be Ireland’s sole representative in the European Endurance Championships at Brussels (BEL).
On the showjumping circuit, Irish riders will compete at St Moritz (SUI), Valence (FRA), Crete Illinois (USA), Langley British Columbia (CAN), Rockwood Ontario (CAN), Auvers (FRA), Lier (BEL), Wiener Neustadt (AUT), San Giovanni In Marignano (ITA). Elsewhere in eventing, Irish riders compete at Somerford Park (GBR), Bicton (GBR) and Firle (GBR). In endurance, Ireland will also be represented at Euston Park (GBR).
