Ireland’s showjumpers flock to Dublin

Dublin Horse Show (IRL) takes place this weekend, with the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup taking place at 15.00 GMT on Friday and the Longines Grand Prix at 15.00 GMT on Sunday. Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Irish riders compete at Tryon North Carolina (USA), Ascona (SUI), Wilkow Jakubowice (POL), Knokke (BEL), Vichy (FRA), Hasselt (BEL), Vimeiro (POR), Dettighofen-Albfruehren (GER) and Zuidwolde (NED).
In dressage, Ireland will be represent in the Junior and Young Rider European Championships at Oliva Valencia (ESP). The individual competitions take place on Friday and Saturday, with the top 18 riders qualifying for Sunday’s freestyle competition. Elsewhere in dressage, the Irish flag will fly at Deauville (FRA).
In excess of 130 entries have been made this week for Irish riders competing in international competition, with Dublin accounting for over 80 of those entries. Ireland will be represented in eleven different countries this weekend by 61 individual riders.
