IRELAND’S Children On Horses team came second in the Nations’ Cup in Hagen, Germany today (Thursday) after a dramatic jump-off with the German and British teams.

Under Chef d’Equipe Comdt John Ledingham, the Irish were lying in equal first of three teams from a starting list of 11 after two rounds on a zero score, and in the jump-off narrowly missed catching the Germans on time, with just an aggregate of six seconds separating them. The British team were just over three seconds behind Ireland.

In an unusual twist, all three teams maintained a zero jumping score right through all three rounds, and the places were finally decided on times.
