Irish Show Jumping team manager Rodrigo Pessoa has named his four team members for tomorrow’s (Friday) Super League Nations Cup at St Gallen in Switzerland.
Ireland are the defending champions having won at St Gallen in 2016, however the Swiss fixture is not one of the six points-scoring rounds selected by Ireland for the current campaign.
The Irish team, sponsored by Devenish and The Underwriting Exchange for the St Gallen Nations Cup is as follows:
Dermott Lennon with Loughview Lou-Lou (ISH) – owned by Judith Sossick
Richard Howley with Chinook – owned by Mr & Mrs Aitkenhead
Anthony Condon with Balzac – owned by Anthony Condon & Kat Taylor
Mark McAuley with Utchan De Belheme – owned by Jocelyn Berthelot
Ireland have been drawn fifth to jump of the eight teams taking part. France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the home team from Switzerland will be competing for points, while along with Ireland, Belgium and Brazil will jump but not for league points.
Ireland will also field teams this weekend at the four-star Nations Cup at Langley in British Colombia on Friday night, and at the three-star Danish Nations Cup in Uggerhalne on Saturday.
The St Gallen five-star Nations Cup starts at 1.30pm on Friday and will be shown live on FEITV with updates also on Team Ireland Equestrian social media.
