The draw has been made for tomorrow’s (Saturday) BMO Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows in Canada, with Ireland set to jump last of the nine teams that will line out in the five-star contest.

Ireland will be hoping to add to their three previous Nations Cup wins at the world famous Canadian venue. They will face tough competition, not least from defending champions USA, the home team from Canada and a Mexican team full of confidence after recently winning the Aga Khan trophy in Dublin for the very first time. The list of teams also includes Brazil, Belgium, Switzerland, France and Germany.

Taylor Vard will be Irish Chef d’Equipe for the Canadian Nations Cup and has named the following team:

Derry’s Daniel Coyle with Cita – owned by Ariel Grange
Down’s Dermott Lennon with Gelvins Touch (ISH) – owned by Victoria Loane
Kerry’s Capt Brian Cournane with Dino – owned by Robert Stiller & Brian Cournane
Down’s Conor Swail with Rubens LS LA Silla – owned by Rose Hill Farm

The BMO Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows starts at 9pm Irish time on Saturday.
