IRELAND’S Judy Reynolds improved on her Olympia freestyle score of 70.00% at the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage Grand Prix Kür in Neumünster, Germany today (Sunday) when scoring a personal best of 71.575% with the 13-year-old Jazz gelding Vancouver K owned by Joe and Kathleen Reynolds.

Judy and Vancouver K also recorded their highest ever score at FEI Grand Prix level yesterday when completing on 69.00%.

Judy, winner of the Irish Field dressage rider of the year award earlier this week, placed 15th in the seventh leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2014/2015 Western European League which was won by former dual World Cup final winner Germany’s 56-year-old Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe on a total of 82.775%.

There was drama in Neumünster with an unfortunate music technical failure for the final competitor, Dutch Olympian Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Flirt, halting their freestyle before the walk sequence across the diagonal at M. Hans Peter remained focused and completed his freestyle of two halves in fourth place on 79.825%.

Speaking from Neumünster Judy said: ” Overall I’m pleased with the personal best scores in both classes here in Neumünster. Vancouver got a little hot in the warm up before we went in to the arena today. There is still room to improve the scores and we will be working on that.”

Judy and Vancouver K will travel to Qatar at the end of the month to compete at the CDI5* show in Doha in the first week of March.
